Monte Altura<\/strong> hatte eine reine Verteidigungsfunktion, wobei die Artillerie in der Anlage einen f\u00fcr die damalige Zeit sehr fortschrittlichen Schutz bot. Man musste die m\u00f6gliche Ankunft der feindlichen Flotte sehen, durfte aber nicht selbst von ihr gesehen werden. Inspiriert von ihrer Umgebung haben die Ingenieure ein Bauwerk entworfen, das auch heute noch durch seine Einfachheit und Logistik fasziniert und beeindruckt: Das Ergebnis ist eine perfekte Kombination aus der immergr\u00fcnen Vegetation der mediterranen Macchia, den nat\u00fcrlich aus den Mauern herausragenden Felsen und der Konstruktion der Anlage selbst, die aus lokalem Gestein errichtet wurde, um sich noch besser in die typische Mondlandschaft der Gallura<\/strong> einzuf\u00fcgen.<\/p>\n
