\u00dcber Jahrhunderte hinweg war dieser edle Rohstoff im t\u00e4glichen Leben der Insel ein wertvolles Element, aus dem mehr als nur ein \u00fcberlebenswichtiger Gegenstand gewonnen wurde. Die Gemeinde Calangianus in der Provinz Olbia Tempio gilt seit jeher als die italienische Hauptstadt des Korks: Es waren die Franzosen, die die Bewohner des alten Ortes, die bis dahin haupts\u00e4chlich Hirten waren, in die Kunst der Korkgewinnung und -verarbeitung einf\u00fchrten.<\/p>\n

Im Jahr 1851 wurde die erste Fabrik er\u00f6ffnet, die sich ausschlie\u00dflich der Korkverarbeitung widmete. Seitdem hat sich die T\u00e4tigkeit immer weiter entwickelt, so dass heute rund 70 % der gesamten sardischen Korkproduktion in Calangianus verarbeitet werden.<\/p>\n
