Former navy fort recovered in 2012 and now home to a multimedia museum dedicated to Garibaldi, who lived on the island for about 30 years and considered it his Ithaca. The Giuseppe Garibaldi Memorial is a hi-tech museum, displaying Garibaldi memorabilia and telling the story of the Hero of Two Worlds through a multimedia tour.
