SA COILUNA

Lake Sa Coiluna is located on the border with Buddusò and Bitti. Its crystal-clear waters, home to a large population of trout, are surrounded by cork oak forests. On the lakeshores, those who love nature and relaxation will be able to enjoy several picnic areas equipped with benches and tables as well as barbecues to cook.
All around the lake, you can find many springs with thick vegetation consisting of Mediterranean scrub, mainly rock rose, heather, Phyllirea, arbutus, Quercus ilex, and Quercus suber.
The territory is of great interest in terms of fauna due to the presence of golden eagles. Among other species, wild boars show good population density since they find their ideal habitat in this territory. Foxes, too, are plentiful, and you can also find partridges, common wood pigeons, buzzards, kestrels, great spotted woodpeckers, and Eurasian jays.

This crystal-clear lake is surrounded by Sardinian lush nature.
