NATIONAL ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM

OLBIA

The museum tells the story of ‘Olbìa’, the Greeks’ ‘happy’ town, with its strategic harbour and thousand-year-old cultural stratification. This is the Italian museum with the highest number of ancient ships and the only one in the world displaying masts and wheels dating back to the Roman era: those passionate about ancient navigation techniques cannot miss the chance to visit it.

The structure of this museum resembles the shape of a moored ship and is located in one of the most important port towns in Sardinian history.
