THE MADDALENE
THE MADDALENE
From the seafront – where ferries coming from Palau dock – you can reach Piazza Garibaldi in a few minutes, walking along alleys and staircases. The town is almost always livened up by people coming and going from one shop to the next and chatting at cafés. After taking a look at the parish church of Santa Maria Maddalena,
you can reach the charming small port of Cala Gavetta, offering one of the most appealing sea views from the town. From here, you can go back to the seafront walking along Via Amendola to reach Piazza Umberto I. The area is dominated by the Headquarters of the Navy, but what really stands out is the gradual unveiling of the view of the open sea. A few metres are enough to enter the suburb of Moneta. After leaving this neighbourhood behind, you can reach the bridge-dam that connects La Maddalena to the island of Caprera.
It is located right in the heart of La Maddalena.
