PAUSANIA TEMPLE

This nuraghe is surrounded by the enchanting vegetation of the most hidden area of Gallura, in northeastern Sardinia. Well preserved and wholly accessible, it is the archaeological gem of Tempio Pausania, one of the most significant protohistoric landmarks in Gallura, surrounded by the mountains of Aggius and the Park of Limbara, rich in trekking and mountain bike trails. Archaeological excavations brought to light vestiges of everyday life during the Nuragic era which implied the existence of a village made of stone huts around the fortress and allowed scholars to recreate its life stages.
