The lighthouse of Razzoli, located on the namesake island in the archipelago of La Maddalena, is perched over the sea. It was built in the 1800s as part of the project to illuminate the Strait of Bonifacio, which also included the lighthouse of Capo Testa. In the past, this lighthouse was home to the keeper’s family, whose main task was to fuel the light to facilitate navigation. Later on, it fell into disuse and became a decrepit building until it was renovated and repurposed as a luxury hotel as part of the designated project by Region Sardinia. The lighthouse of Razzoli offers an extraordinary view of the Strait of Bonifacio and Corsica, and the hotel is even equipped with a special panoramic terrace.
