The structure, now decadent and abandoned to the elements, was erected to defend the north-east coast of Golfo Aranci and played a role of strategic importance during the two World Wars.
\nDespite the structure showing signs of aging and erosion, still today it is possible to admire the turret with the rack where the rangefinder was mounted for detecting the targets and the emplacements of the four large-caliber cannons mounted on emplacements overlooking the cliff
\nlook towards the horizon.<\/p>\n
