Close to Lake Liscia<\/a>, you can admire a majestic wild olive tree, which is estimated to be between 3,000 and 4,000 years old. It is Italy\u2019s oldest tree and one of the two oldest trees in Europe. This natural monument \u2013 whose trunk has a 12-metre perimeter \u2013 is called the \u2018Great Patriarch\u2019, and its wide fronds seem to give off the typical wisdom of the elderly. Nearby, you can see two smaller and younger wild olive trees, which are estimated to be 2,000 and 500 years old, respectively.<\/p>\n
