Budoni<\/a> arose on the border between Gallura and Baronia, also due to its villages. The so-called \u2018stazzi\u2019, born between the 1600s and the 1700s, were the homes of families living in Gallura: the activities performed here enabled their survival. Over time, stazzi developed into the small towns we currently see: some more or less kept their size, whereas others expanded. A stazzo was a sort of family-run farm: daily life revolved around the house, a granite building with a single room.
\nLuddu\u00ec<\/strong> is a small town overlooking the sea: from here, you can enjoy views of the whole territory of Budoni, located on a hilltop. Few families live here \u2013 around ten at the beginning of the 1900s: nowadays, this typical village formed by Gallura\u2019s stazzi has expanded remarkably thanks to tourism and its favourable location.<\/p>\n
