This fascinating small town boasts a great prehistoric and Roman past, rich in ancient traditions.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>[vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

The territory of Oschiri belongs to the new province of Olbia-Tempio, overlooking the Coghinas plain in the historic region of Monte Acuto. The old town is characterised by low houses and narrow stone-paved streets that offer a view of the valleys covered in holly oaks, cork oaks, and Mediterranean scrub. Oschiri is well-known for beef, Vermentino, cheese, and especially panadas, puff pastries filled with meat and herbs. This dish is the emblem of the town: it is also the protagonist of a local festival, which takes place in August at the same time as Gallura\u2019s food trade show.<\/p>\n
