LA MADDALENA

This national park, the first of Sardinia,
is the only one in Italy made up
of the whole territory of a municipality.

La Maddalena Archipelago National Park offers a fascinating landscape thanks to its crystal-clear waters and natural coves. Here, you can find some of the most famous beaches in the world, including Spiaggia del Cavaliere as well as the Pink Beach of Budelli Island and Caprera’s Spiaggia del relitto. The park, encompassing about 180 kilometres of coast, protects over 700 plant species, including more than 50 endemic ones which account for a quarter of the total present in Sardinia. The local fauna consists of reptiles (such as sea turtles), migratory birds, and large mammals, including fin whales, sperm whales, and dolphins.

Visit La Maddalena, known for its crystal-clear waters, and explore its must-see attractions and beaches.

The archipelago of La Maddalena is a mosaic made of spectacular rocks, an amazing seabed, and many shapes and colours. If you wish to explore the island in a different way to make your holiday unique, you can also rent a boat or a rubber dinghy for one or more days.
Renting a boat, you will have a chance to discover and reach by sea the most beautiful coves, bays, and beaches of the island. If you love tours by land, the Park’s trail network develops on the island of Caprera. There are currently 16 paths which enable tourists to
proceed slowly and immerse themselves in the nature of this outstanding destination.
