PADRU

Padru is an amazing village of Monte Acuto, characterised by granitic mountains and thick woods.

Padru is a small town in the region of Monte Acuto, with little more than 2,000 residents. From here, you will be able to reach fascinating panoramic viewpoints and natural sites in the middle of woods and springs. From some places, you will also be able to admire the amazing scenery of San Teodoro’s coast and the marine protected area of Tavolara.
All of Padru’s natural paths wind through large holly oak woods, cork oak woods, and Mediterranean scrub, home to mammals and birds of prey, such as golden eagles and hawks. In autumn, many diverse mushrooms can be found in the woods. In the past, almost until the end of the 19th century, forests were practically impenetrable: cork oaks in particular still create mysterious atmospheres. This is an ideal area for walking, horseback riding, and mountain bike tours.
