WATER SPORTS

Thanks to wind exposure, northern Sardinia is an ideal area for sailing activities, both for expert sailors and beginners. Sailboats are available for rent with or without a qualified instructor, and lessons are also available for young children. Porto Pollo (Palau), Isola Rossa, Costa Smeralda, and Olbia are the most popular destinations for surfing and kitesurfing, even though these sports can be practised anywhere in Gallura.
Stand-up paddling (SUP) is a pleasant activity to be practised during a holiday in Sardinia, too: you can either relax completely when the sea is calm or exercise more intensely and enjoy a more exciting experience when the sea is rough. Finally, in addition to surface water sports, you should definitely try snorkelling and scuba diving to enjoy the unrivalled magnificence and diversity of life under the sea.

Gallura is ideal for those who love practising water sports and enjoying themselves in the waves.
